I write this post as a welcome, not only to any of you who happen to chance upon this blog, but also as a welcome back to myself. Forgive me reader, for I have started many blogs, and I have rarely finished one.

Now I am going to endeavour to wipe the slate clean and start anew. I do not intend this to be a technical blog, I’m probably not going to write up a lot of tutorials on my work as an Agency Frontend Developer, but I plan to put content about myself, and some of my thoughts here.

I’ve always been wary about over-sharing, or even sharing very much at all on social media. I think my self-induced paralysis was the result of the nagging feeling that the internet is forever and sometimes the things I think and say are wholly transient. I have for the longest time wanted them to exist only in the moment that I utter them, and then fade away into the memories of those that heard them.

As the prevalence of social media has grown within our society so too has my concern grown. Don’t take me wrong, I’m not repulsed by the concept of the social media companies, I use them all often (Follow me on Insta, Twitter etc). However as more and more of our live is lived online I’ve grown more concerned about the ownership of the content, and the ability to control what may be done with it down the road. These posts are the punctuation of our lives, so I’m going to make an effort to live my life here.

All of that said I am grown now, on my Birthday I will be thirty-five this year, and If I’m not who I am by now, then I never will be. So TLDR this time it’s personal. 🙂
